NBC Highlights Job Creation and Talent Development
NBC emphasized the pilot season’s role in job creation, noting that the eight potential pilots generated 4,000 jobs across cast, crew, and production teams. Filming took place domestically, with three pilots shot on the Universal lot in Los Angeles, three in New York, and two in Atlanta.
“Our creative teams, led by Lisa Katz at NBC and Erin Underhill at Universal Television, delivered an exceptional pilot slate, developing eight standout projects that reflect our ambition. While we often hear the phrase ‘embarrassment of riches,’ it truly applies in this case. This process allowed us to take big swings, and we landed on shows that we think can truly break through.”
— Pearlena Igbokwe, Chairman of NBC Entertainment and Peacock Scripted
The expanded focus on pilot season aligns with NBC’s initiative to nurture new talent and create more jobs both above and below the line. Universal Television’s international sales for the series are handled by NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution.
