Fate/Grand Order to Introduce 'After Time' Story in June 2026

Lasengle, the developer behind Fate/Grand Order, has officially announced the upcoming release of a new story chapter titled "Beginning of After Time". The chapter is scheduled to debut in early June 2026 exclusively on the Japanese server of the game.

Requirements to Access the New Story

To unlock the "Beginning of After Time" chapter, players must complete the following prerequisites:

  • The main quest labeled "Beginning of After Time".
  • Two Grand Duels.

Global Release Status Still Uncertain

The announcement specifies that the new story will initially be available only in Japan. There is currently no confirmed date for its release on the global version of the game. However, Lasengle has indicated that the chapter will eventually be made available worldwide.

Visual Teasers Hint at Underwater Threats

The official Fate/Grand Order website has shared a cryptic image featuring seven pillar-like structures adorned with eyes. Behind them, mechanical cogs and the face of a clock are visible, all set against an underwater backdrop. While the visual suggests multiple potential threats, it remains unclear whether the new chapter will span multiple parts—similar to past arcs like Epic of Remnant or Cosmos in the Lostbelt—or consist of a single standalone chapter.

The use of kanji on the website, which typically denotes individual chapters (e.g., "Yuga Kshetra" or "London"), suggests a singular chapter rather than a multi-part narrative. This contrasts with larger story arcs like Main Record 2: Cosmos in the Lostbelt, which concluded in December 2025.

Context: The Journey of Fate/Grand Order Part 2

The "Beginning of After Time" chapter marks a significant milestone in Fate/Grand Order Part 2. The overarching narrative began in April 2018 with the introduction of the Russian Lostbelt Anastasia on the Japanese server. The recent conclusion of Main Record 2: Cosmos in the Lostbelt brought Chaldea’s journey to a close, wrapping up a seven-year saga.

For English-speaking players, the most recent main story addition was Ordeal Call II: Id. Several chapters remain before the English server reaches the final chapter of Cosmos in the Lostbelt.

Availability and Future Updates

Fate/Grand Order is accessible on mobile devices. Additional details about the "Beginning of After Time" chapter are expected to be revealed closer to its June 2026 launch window. The global release date, however, has not yet been announced.
