Squibbly’s latest Fortnite quests provide substantial XP rewards to help players advance through the Battle Pass. Among these tasks is a notably tricky objective: catching items from Golden Fishing Spots to reduce Fishstick’s supply. While fishing isn’t a common activity on the island, Golden Fishing Spots are even rarer, making this mission particularly challenging. Completing it, however, rewards players with valuable loot drops.
How to Catch Items from Golden Fishing Spots to Reduce Fishstick’s Supply in Fortnite
Where to Find Golden Fishing Spots in Fortnite
Golden Fishing Spots can spawn anywhere with fishable water across the Chapter 7, Season 2 map. Their availability depends largely on luck, but some areas have higher concentrations of fishing spots, increasing your chances of finding one. The most reliable location for this mission is Squibbly Shores, a massive coastal area surrounded by fishable water. This Point of Interest (POI) also contains numerous barrels stocked with fishing rods, providing ample space to fish without interference from enemy players. Squibbly Shores is located at the far west end of the map.
For alternative options, consider these two smaller but less crowded spots:
- A ship located south of New Sanctuary
- A small pier south of Sus Studios
These locations are generally quieter, reducing the risk of encountering enemy players. However, their smaller size also means fewer fishable waters, lowering the odds of spotting a Golden Fishing Spot. Regardless of your chosen location, prioritize visiting these spots immediately after dropping from the Battle Bus. Golden Fishing Spots vanish once all loot is claimed, so delays increase the risk of another player clearing them before you arrive.
How to Complete the Quest
To finish the quest, you must collect three items from Golden Fishing Spots anywhere on the island. Any item caught from these special pools—whether fish or weapons—counts toward the objective. Simply continue fishing until you’ve secured three items to complete the mission.
