The Green Bay Packers have claimed wide receiver Brenden Rice off waivers, according to multiple reports. The move follows the Oakland Raiders' decision to waive Rice after signing linebacker Cameron McGrone earlier this week.

Rice, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Rice, had joined the Raiders' practice squad late last season. His NFL journey has also included stints on the practice squads of the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots after being waived by the Los Angeles Chargers in August 2024.

Drafted by the Chargers in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, Rice made his professional debut in three games during his rookie season. Over those appearances, he logged three offensive snaps and 10 special teams snaps.
