Major League Soccer (MLS) is kicking off its celebration of the 2026 FIFA World Cup a month early with four new series designed to highlight the sport and its athletes. The shows—‘Cup Dreams,’ ‘Cup Reflections,’ ‘National Anthems,’ and ‘Breakaway’—will premiere across multiple streaming and broadcast platforms, including Amazon, Apple TV, Fox, and Tubi, with additional short-form content set to debut on TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube.

Further details about streaming partners and release schedules will be announced at a later date.

The long-form series aim to showcase player and club storytelling, giving fans deeper insights into athletes as both participants and community ambassadors. Meanwhile, the short-form content will focus on key moments from the tournament, set to take place in June and July 2026.

Premiere Schedule and Platforms

  • ‘Cup Dreams’ will launch first on Amazon devices, starting on Thursday.
  • The 11-episode docuseries ‘Cup Reflections’ will air on Apple TV, Alexa/Fire TV, Prime Video, Tubi, Fox, and MLS-owned channels.
  • The 9-episode series ‘National Anthems’ will follow on the same platforms.
  • ‘Breakaway’ will provide an even deeper behind-the-scenes look at the tournament.

“The FIFA World Cup is a massive opportunity for MLS to share the stories that make us the fastest growing league in the world. We’re not just creating content; we’re showcasing the players, their communities, and the powerful journeys that connect fans to the beautiful game. Our fans will get closer than ever to the stories behind the League and the people shaping its future.”

— Seth Bacon, EVP of Media for MLS

This initiative complements the dozen-plus documentaries MLS will participate in this year, marking what the league calls “one of the most historic soccer years in North America.”
