The San Francisco 49ers have officially signed free agent running back Sincere McCormick, his representation announced via social media. The move necessitates a roster adjustment to accommodate the 25-year-old back.
McCormick joins Jordan James, Kaelon Black, and Isaac Guerendo on the depth chart behind Pro Bowl running back Christian McCaffrey.
McCormick initially joined the 49ers' practice squad after the Las Vegas Raiders waived him following the preseason. The team released him on November 18, after which he spent the remainder of the 2025 season on the practice squads of the Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos, and Minnesota Vikings. He did not see any game action during the year.
His only NFL playing time came in 2024 with the Raiders, where he appeared in five games and made two starts. Over that span, McCormick totaled 45 touches for 212 yards.
