The Arizona Cardinals officially announced on Thursday that they signed three draft selections from the third day of the 2024 NFL Draft. The moves come as the team finalizes its roster ahead of the upcoming season.
Cardinals Sign Three Draft Picks
The Cardinals added the following players to their roster:
- Reggie Virgil (WR, 5th round) – A wide receiver out of Notre Dame, Virgil joins a competitive room with 12 other players. He will compete for playing time behind established receivers Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, and Kendrick Bourne.
- Karson Sharar (LB, 6th round) – A linebacker from Iowa, Sharar brings special teams experience, having logged over 570 special teams snaps during his college career. He will vie for a roster spot with his special teams contributions.
- Jayden Williams (OL, 7th round) – An offensive lineman from Ole Miss, Williams is a versatile prospect who started every game at right tackle last season. He has also accumulated 19 starts at left tackle since 2022.
Cardinals Release Andre Baccellia
The Cardinals also made a roster move, releasing wide receiver Andre Baccellia on Thursday. The decision reflects the team’s efforts to trim its roster as it evaluates talent during the offseason.
International Player Designation
Additionally, the Cardinals designated offensive lineman Valentin Senn as their international player. This designation allows the team to carry a total of 91 players during the offseason, providing flexibility in roster management.
