The Carolina Panthers have officially closed their 2024 rookie class after signing defensive tackle Lee Hunter to a four-year contract on Friday. Hunter, selected in the second round as the 49th overall pick, was the final member of the team’s seven-player draft class to finalize his rookie deal.

Carolina acquired Hunter’s rights in a trade-up move during the draft. He previously played for the Texas Tech Red Raiders, where he recorded 41 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and one forced fumble during his senior season.

The Panthers’ defensive line now includes Hunter alongside Derrick Brown, Bobby Brown III, Tershawn Wharton, LaBryan Ray, Jared Harrison-Hunte, Cam Jackson, Aaron Hall, and Parker Petersen.
