Brown remains on the Eagles' roster, but reports indicate he is expected to be traded after June 1. If that occurs, Smith would assume the unquestioned top receiver position for the team.

Speaking at a charity softball event, Smith was asked about the trade speculation surrounding Brown. His response was concise and focused on his responsibilities.

- Dontayvion Wicks – Undrafted free agent from the 2023 class
- Hollywood Brown – Veteran wide receiver acquired in 2024
- Makai Lemon – First-round draft pick in 2024
Additionally, Smith would be working under a new offensive coordinator, Sean Mannion, adding another layer of adjustment as he prepares for the 2024 season.
