The Atlanta Falcons have finalized contracts with two of their 2025 NFL Draft selections. Cornerback Avieon Terrell, the team’s top pick, has agreed to a four-year deal, while defensive lineman Anterio Thompson has signed a sixth-round contract.
The Falcons’ selection of Terrell in the second round came after the team traded its first-round pick to the Los Angeles Rams in 2025 to move up for edge rusher James Pearce.
Terrell, who joins his brother A.J. Terrell in Atlanta’s cornerback group, concluded his Clemson career with impressive stats: 48 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, five forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery during his final season. His versatility and playmaking ability made him a key target for the Falcons’ secondary.
The team also announced an agreement with Thompson, a defensive lineman selected in the sixth round. Thompson recorded 30 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks during his 2024 season at Washington, showcasing his potential as a disruptive force on the defensive line.
