The Atlanta Falcons are finalizing a deal to add offensive lineman Layden Robinson to their 90-man roster, according to NFL Media insider Mike Garafolo.
Robinson participated in the Falcons’ rookie minicamp on a tryout basis and impressed enough to earn an extended look. The team has not announced any additional roster moves at this time.
Robinson’s NFL Journey So Far
Selected by the New England Patriots in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, Robinson started 11 games at guard during his rookie season. However, his progress was halted when he was placed on injured reserve last summer. The Patriots later waived him midseason, and he was claimed by the Las Vegas Raiders, who added him to their practice squad before signing him to a future contract. The Raiders waived him earlier this month.
With Chris Lindstrom and Matthew Bergeron locked in as the Falcons’ starting guards, Robinson is expected to compete for a reserve role throughout the remainder of the offseason.
