Square Enix has officially launched a dedicated website to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy X, marking the milestone with a lineup of exclusive merchandise, books, and music albums. The anniversary date is set for July 19, 2026, exactly 25 years after the game’s original release in Japan on PlayStation 2.

The first batch of merchandise revealed includes a collection of chibi character plushies, set to go on sale in July 2026. The lineup features eight characters:

  • Tidus and Yuna plushies: ¥4,400 (~$27.65) each
  • Wakka, Lulu, Auron, Kimahri, Rikku, and Jecht plushies: ¥4,620 (~$29.05) each

Square Enix also announced two new books ahead of the anniversary:

  • Final Fantasy X Memorial Album (HD Remastered) – Originally released in 2002, this album will be reissued at ¥3,520 (~$22.10) on July 3, 2026.
  • Final Fantasy X 25th Anniversary Visual Art Book -Eternal Spira- – A newly produced book featuring Tetsuya Nomura’s illustrations from the 2023 Kabuki stage play, priced at ¥2,750 (~$17.30).

The company rounded out the announcements with a slate of new music releases:

  • Eternal Calm vinyl set – Available at ¥9,350 (~$58.75) on July 1, 2026.
  • Zanarkand CD album – An exclusive collection of multiple renditions of “Zanarkand,” priced at ¥2,420 (~$15.20) on July 1, 2026.
  • House Grooves arrangement album – Scheduled for release in Summer 2026 at ¥3,300 (~$20.75).

Final Fantasy X originally launched in Japan for PlayStation 2 on July 19, 2001. Square Enix has since expanded its availability through an HD remaster compilation, which includes both FFX and Final Fantasy X-2, playable on PS3, PS Vita, PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch worldwide.
