Google has once again placed the spotlight on its AI assistant, Gemini, with a fresh wave of updates unveiled during its pre-I/O Android showcase. The tech giant is expanding the reach of Gemini Intelligence, a rebranded suite of features designed to help users control and interact with their phones more seamlessly.
Among the highlights is a Liquid Glass-inspired visual treatment for the new features, giving them a modern and sleek aesthetic. Google is integrating Gemini into more areas of the Android ecosystem, including Chrome on Android, autofill suggestions, and within select apps—if users opt in.
"Gemini Intelligence brings the very best of Gemini to our most advanced Android devices," said Ben Greenwood, Google's director of Android experiences.
The rebranding to Gemini Intelligence consolidates existing and new features under a single name, signaling Google's push to position the AI assistant as a central tool for managing daily smartphone tasks. While the full scope of these updates is still unfolding, the focus remains on enhancing user control and convenience.
