Meta will begin tracking the mouse movements, clicks, and keystrokes of its US-based employees to generate high-quality training data for future AI agents, according to a Reuters report.
The news organization cited internal memos posted by the Meta Superintelligence Labs team to detail the new Model Capability Initiative, which includes employee-tracking software. The software will operate on specific work-related apps and websites and will also capture periodic screenshots to provide context for AI training.
"This is where all Meta employees can help our models get better simply by doing their daily work," the memo stated, as reported by Reuters.
The initiative is designed to leverage real-world employee activities to refine and improve the performance of Meta's AI systems.
