The Miami Dolphins have bolstered their roster by signing undrafted free agent DJ Herman as a fullback. The move was officially announced on Monday.

Herman, who transitioned from linebacker to fullback during his time at San Diego State, joined the Dolphins' rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. The team has not yet disclosed financial terms of the deal.

During his collegiate career, Herman appeared in 49 games for San Diego State. He recorded 56 tackles, including one for a loss, while also contributing significantly on special teams. His versatility and experience in special teams could prove valuable as he competes for a roster spot in Miami.

Notably, the Dolphins currently have no other players listed at the fullback position on their active roster. This signing suggests Herman may have an opportunity to contribute immediately on special teams, which often serves as a pathway for undrafted players to earn playing time.
