MS NOW, the progressive cable news network, is launching a new suite of shows starting June 13, 2023, marking a significant programming overhaul announced in March. The revamp includes new roles for anchors such as Stephanie Ruhle, Ali Velshi, and Alicia Menendez, among others.

“We’re excited for what’s ahead and look forward to this revamped programming serving as destination viewing for our audience as we head into a pivotal election cycle.”

New Shows and Launch Schedule

The network’s summer lineup begins on Saturday, June 13 with “Connect with Jacob Soboroff”, a program where the network’s senior national and political reporter connects local communities to broader national stories. The show will air from Los Angeles, with Dina Moss serving as producer.

On Monday, June 15, the following changes will take effect:

  • “Morning Joe” will return to a three-hour format, airing from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Co-host Jonathan Lemire will anchor the 8 a.m. hour.
  • “Money, Power, Politics with Stephanie Ruhle”, a two-hour program hosted by Ruhle, will follow. The show will leverage Ruhle’s business reporting experience and air during Wall Street’s trading day. It will be based in New York and produced by Patrick McMenamin.
  • Alicia Menendez will host “On the Line with Alicia Menendez”, covering political breaking news rooted in democracy from noon to 2 p.m. The show will also be based in New York and produced by Marti Hause.
  • Katy Tur will launch her new show, “The Moment”, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The program will continue the network’s daytime news coverage, with Tur tying stories to their impact on the upcoming midterm elections. It will be based in New York and produced by Aaron Volkman.

Changes to Existing Programs

“The Weeknight” will now be hosted by Luke Russert, the network’s host and creative director of “MS NOW Live.” Russert will join Symone Sanders Townsend and Michael Steele on the program, which will be produced by Kyle Griffin in Washington, D.C.

“All In with Chris Hayes” will return to its Monday timeslot as the show expands to a five-day-a-week schedule.

Ali Velshi, the network’s chief data reporter, will take over “The 11th Hour with Ali Velshi”, marking his transition to the network’s weekday lineup. The new version of the show will be based in New York and produced by Rebekah Dryden.

New 11 a.m. Show Announced

The network is also introducing an 11 a.m. show anchored by chief national reporter Peter Alexander, who joined MS NOW in March 2023 from NBC News. Details of the new program have not yet been confirmed.

“These new programs build on the organization’s continued success ahead of a consequential midterm election season and consistent growth across linear, digital, social, and audio.”
