Overland Expo has unveiled the Nissan Frontier Ultimate Build2, a custom-built overlanding truck based on the Frontier Pro-4X.

The Frontier Ultimate Build2 is a collaboration between Nissan, Overland Expo, and AllDogs Offroad Coop. It features a heavy-duty front bumper with integrated recovery points and a 9,500 lb (4,309 kg) ComeUp winch. Additional upgrades include auxiliary lights, Nismo rock sliders, and Black Rhino Tembo wheels fitted with Nokian all-terrain tires.

Key Features of the Frontier Ultimate Build2

  • Suspension: Off-road suspension system from AllDogs Offroad with new coil and leaf springs, high-clearance upper control arms, heavy-duty lift shackles, and stainless steel tie rod extensions. Paired with Fox Performance Elite coilovers and rear shocks, as well as extended stainless steel brake lines.
  • Camper: The truck’s bed houses a Tune Outdoor M1L camper with a pop-top design and a two-person sleeping platform. The camper weighs as little as 322 lbs (146 kg) and provides over six feet of standing room when the roof is raised.
  • Power and Drivetrain: Powered by a 3.8-liter V6 engine producing 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) and 281 lb-ft (381 Nm) of torque. It is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system.
  • Additional Features: Battle Born batteries, a Midland radio, an ARB onboard air system, and an outdoor shower system with a heater.

Future Plans for the Frontier Ultimate Build2

The Frontier Ultimate Build2 will make its debut at Overland Expo West on May 16, 2024. Following its tour at select events, the truck will be auctioned on Bring a Trailer in fall 2024. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Overland Expo Foundation.
