The New Orleans Saints have added an unexpected name to their rookie class: Brock Rechsteiner, a wide receiver from Jacksonville State who is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner.

Officially listed as a wide receiver, Rechsteiner primarily served as a backfield pass-catcher and fullback hybrid for the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. Over his three-year collegiate career, he amassed 646 yards from scrimmage and eight touchdowns. His physical profile—6 feet 2 inches and 225 pounds—makes him a raw but intriguing prospect for the Saints.

The Saints enter the 2024 season with a crowded wide receiver room but limited depth at the position. Rechsteiner’s versatility as an H-Back/WR could provide a competitive edge, potentially earning him a spot on the practice squad.

Beyond football, Rechsteiner has explored an alternative career path. In 2025, he joined WWE’s Next In Line program, which offers NIL opportunities to student-athletes with athletic backgrounds and training in professional wrestling. While his focus remains on football, the door to wrestling is open—especially given his family’s legacy in the sport.

Rechsteiner’s cousin, Bronson Rechsteiner (wrestling as “Bron Breakker”), is a current WWE superstar. Bronson pursued wrestling after an unsuccessful NFL attempt as a fullback at Kennesaw State. Their father, Rick Steiner, is also a WWE Hall of Famer, inducted alongside his brother Scott in 2022.

Rechsteiner will join the Saints for offseason workouts immediately, with training camp scheduled to begin later this summer.
