The Pittsburgh Steelers are offering fans a chance to own a piece of history as 22,000 original seats from Acrisure Stadium go up for sale after 25 years of service.
According to WPXI, the seats are being replaced and are available from the Upper Level East, Upper Level West, and North Club sections. Fans can purchase:
- A single seat for $399
- A pair of seats for $599
- Individual seat backs for $199
- Individual seat bottoms for $149
The seats feature a classic design in yellow and gray. The Steelers are also adding a small number of black seats to the stadium to reduce the bright, eye-catching effect of the yellow seats.
Acrisure Stadium, originally opened in 2001 as Heinz Field, replaced the historic Three Rivers Stadium. The multi-purpose facility was shared by both the Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates for three decades before the new stadium was built.
