My answer is that the future will belong to those who cultivate not two, but five quotients: IQ, EQ, TQ, WQ, and most importantly, VQ—the Vision Quotient. In an age dominated by artificial intelligence, vision may prove to be humanity’s defining advantage.

TQ: The Trust Quotient

Trust has become one of the most undervalued forces in modern life. Often dismissed as soft—likability, familiarity, or a warm handshake—trust is far more substantial. It is earned credibility under pressure, the confidence others place in you when uncertainty rises and stakes are high. Trust is built slowly and lost quickly.

In an environment saturated with misinformation, manipulated narratives, deepfakes, and algorithmic distortion, trust is no longer a soft currency. It is closer to infrastructure. Institutions depend on it, markets rely on it, and leadership without it cannot survive real crises. While AI may simulate reliability in narrow contexts, it cannot carry moral accountability. Machines do not wrestle with conscience, sacrifice, or the cost of being wrong. Only humans can build the track records that others trust when outcomes truly matter.

WQ: The Work Quotient

Hard work has quietly fallen out of fashion. Society celebrates optimization, leverage, automation, and balance—all valuable traits—but somewhere along the way, convenience began to be mistaken for achievement. Work ethic is not performative exhaustion or the cult of the grind. It is the discipline to see a piece of work through to completion, long after the initial excitement fades.

In an era where AI can automate repetitive tasks, the ability to persist, refine, and deliver quality work becomes a rare and valuable human skill. The Work Quotient is not about working harder; it is about working with purpose and finishing what matters.
