The Minnesota Vikings have not yet officially announced their general manager interview schedule, but three additional candidates have been reported as requested for meetings. According to multiple reports, the team has submitted interview requests for Dave Ziegler (Titans assistant GM), RJ Gillen (49ers assistant GM), and Chad Alexander (Chargers assistant GM).
Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports confirmed the additions to the Vikings’ GM interview pool.
Candidate Profiles
Dave Ziegler (Titans)
Ziegler brings prior GM experience to the table, having served as the Oakland/ Las Vegas Raiders GM in 2022 and 2023. He was dismissed midway through his second season alongside then-head coach Josh McDaniels.
RJ Gillen (49ers)
Gillen has been with the San Francisco 49ers organization for the past 11 seasons. He was promoted to assistant GM in 2023 after previously serving as the team’s director of player personnel for two years.
Chad Alexander (Chargers)
Alexander has held the Chargers’ assistant GM role since 2024. His NFL personnel career includes a 19-year tenure with the Baltimore Ravens (1999–2018) and a four-year stint as the New York Jets’ director of player personnel (2019–2023).
