Microsoft is taking significant steps to improve the Windows 11 experience, focusing on refining the often-criticized Windows Update system. Among the upcoming changes, users will soon have the option to pause updates indefinitely, a feature designed to address widespread frustration with forced updates.
In addition to this, Microsoft is introducing a new capability called "Cloud-Initiated Driver Recovery". This feature will automatically detect and replace problematic drivers that were installed through Windows Update with previously working versions. Currently, Windows 11 users must manually roll back faulty drivers or rely on hardware vendors to release updated drivers to resolve issues.
The new system aims to streamline the process, reducing downtime and technical hurdles for users affected by driver-related problems. While Microsoft has not yet announced a specific release date for these features, they represent a proactive approach to enhancing system stability and user control.
