Amazon is expanding its logistics dominance by launching Amazon Supply Chain Services (ASCS), a new initiative that will allow external businesses to leverage its extensive shipping and fulfillment network. This move positions Amazon as a direct competitor to established logistics providers such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL.

The service will offer a range of logistics solutions, including freight, distribution, fulfillment, and parcel shipping, catering to businesses of all sizes and industries. Early adopters include major brands such as Procter & Gamble, 3M, Lands' End, and American Eagle Outfitters.

By opening its shipping network to third-party companies, Amazon is following a similar strategy to its successful Amazon Web Services (AWS), which provides cloud infrastructure to businesses worldwide. The company aims to monetize its logistics capabilities, much like it does with its web services platform.

This expansion underscores Amazon’s ambition to become a comprehensive logistics and infrastructure provider, further solidifying its role in global e-commerce and supply chain management.
