Apple has increased the starting price of the Mac Mini to $799, following the removal of the $599 model with 256GB of storage from its online store. The change was first reported by MacRumors.

This price adjustment comes just one day after Apple CEO Tim Cook highlighted supply constraints during an earnings call. Cook noted that a chip shortage will continue to impact Mac products in the coming months.

"If you look forward to June, the majority of our supply constraints will be on several Mac models. We think looking forward that the Mac Mini and the Mac Studio may take several months to reach supply-demand balance."

Cook also emphasized that both the Mac Mini and Mac Studio have experienced higher-than-expected demand, contributing to the ongoing supply challenges.
