Apple’s upcoming MacBook Neo may lose its most affordable $599 configuration because of a global RAM shortage, according to analyst Tim Culpan.
The budget-friendly base model could be discontinued, leaving only the $699 variant with 512GB of storage. This follows Apple’s recent decision to remove the lowest-priced configuration of the Mac mini, pushing its starting price to $799.
In March, Apple also eliminated the option for 512GB of RAM in the Mac Studio, likely due to supply constraints. The shift comes as demand for the MacBook Neo remains high.
