Apple has expanded its Sports widget to CarPlay with the latest update, enabling users to follow live sports scores and schedules without leaving their vehicle’s interface. The feature, introduced alongside iOS 26, marks a significant improvement for drivers who want real-time sports updates while commuting or traveling.
The new Apple Sports widgets for CarPlay come in two formats:
- League widget: Displays live scores, schedules, and standings for a specific league or sport.
- Teams widget: Tracks scores and updates for your favorite teams.
While the widgets provide live score visibility, they do not update in real time, according to initial tests. The feature is now available to users running iOS 26 or later on compatible CarPlay systems.
