The Buffalo Bills have made their stance clear: wide receiver Keon Coleman remains a vital part of the team’s future, and the franchise is not entertaining trade offers for him.
This declaration comes amid ongoing speculation about Coleman’s role, which intensified after Bills owner Terry Pegula suggested the team’s 2024 second-round draft decision to select Coleman originated from the former coaching staff rather than General Manager Brandon Beane.
However, Beane has repeatedly dismissed such concerns this offseason, reaffirming the organization’s belief in Coleman’s potential. During an appearance on WGR on Monday, he doubled down on that commitment, stating the Bills did not engage with any trade inquiries regarding the young receiver.
"We shut those down," Beane said. "Our intention is for Keon to be here, so the word was out, so no calls this weekend. We've hit the reset button with him and hopefully the fanbase and everyone is behind him. I think his best year is yet to come here in 2026."
Coleman’s future with the Bills appears secure despite recent roster moves. In March, the team acquired veteran wideout DJ Moore, and this past weekend, they selected Skyler Bell in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Yet, the Bills still see a clear path for Coleman to contribute meaningfully in Buffalo’s offense, particularly in the upcoming 2025 season.
Beane’s remarks signal a vote of confidence in Coleman’s development, suggesting the organization is prioritizing his growth over short-term roster adjustments. With the 2025 campaign on the horizon, Coleman is poised to play a key role in the Bills’ offensive plans.
