A Tennessee special education teacher has been charged with assault after allegedly dragging a nonverbal 9-year-old boy across a rug at Selmer Elementary School.
Witnesses reported that Meg Day dragged the student by his lower body, leaving him with a painful "blood red mark" and carpet burn on his back.
Other staff members noticed the injury and reported it to the school principal and assistant principal, who subsequently called the police.
