The Denver Broncos have officially agreed to terms with linebacker Red Murdock, according to Benjamin Allbright of KOA Colorado. Murdock becomes the first of seven Broncos draft picks to finalize his contract after being selected as the final pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Nicknamed "Mr. Irrelevant", Murdock will receive a four-year, $4.5 million deal, including a $122,600 signing bonus.

Murdock’s College Career Highlights

Murdock earned second-team All-America honors at the University at Buffalo in 2025. He set an FBS record with 17 career forced fumbles and accumulated 298 tackles over his final two collegiate seasons.

Broncos’ 2026 Draft Class Breakdown

The Broncos did not have selections in the first or second rounds of the 2026 draft. Their draft picks included:

  • Defensive tackle Tyler Onyedim (third round)
  • Running back Jonah Coleman and offensive lineman Kage Casey (fourth round)
  • Tight end Justin Joly (fifth round)
  • Safety Miles Scott, tight end Dallen Bentley, and Murdock (seventh round)

The Broncos are scheduled to hold their rookie minicamp this weekend.
