The Arizona Cardinals have officially added first-round pick Jeremiyah Love to their roster, finalizing a four-year contract on Friday. The deal guarantees Love just over $53 million, marking the highest guaranteed amount ever for a running back under current NFL contracts.
Arizona also holds a fifth-year option on Love’s contract, with a decision on exercising that option due after his third professional season.
Love arrives in the NFL after an elite collegiate career at Notre Dame, where he led the nation in rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, and total offensive touchdowns in each of his final two seasons. The Cardinals anticipate an immediate and significant role for him in their offense as he begins his professional career.
