The Chicago Bears have officially waived cornerback Zah Frazier, a 2025 fifth-round draft pick who never appeared in a game for the team. The move comes as Frazier’s future with the franchise remains uncertain beyond the 2025 season.
On Thursday, the Bears announced the roster decision, which clears a spot on the 90-man roster. Chicago now has the opportunity to fill the vacancy before or after this weekend’s rookie minicamp.
Frazier was selected in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft but was placed on the non-football injury/illness list in August 2025. He remained on the list for the entirety of the 2025 season, with the team citing a personal matter as the reason. Neither Frazier nor the Bears provided further details regarding the nature of the situation.
