Happy first birthday, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33!
Destructoid’s 2025 Game of the Year, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, celebrates its first anniversary today. Developer Sandfall Interactive marked the milestone with major news: the game has sold eight million copies worldwide, a remarkable achievement for the critically acclaimed title.
To honor the occasion, Sandfall Interactive introduced a series of fun community rewards, including free anniversary haircuts for every main character in the game. Fans can now give Gustave the same iconic hairstyle as Verso, or choose from a variety of new looks for the entire crew.
Where to Find the Anniversary Haircuts
According to Sandfall Interactive, the special haircuts are available at two in-game merchant locations:
- Gustave’s Anniversary Haircut — Available at the Gestral Merchant near Stone Wave Cliffs.
- Verso, Maelle, Lune, Sciel, and Monoco’s Anniversary Haircuts — Available at the Gestral Merchant near Grosse Tête on the World Map.
Notably, Gustave’s haircut is tucked away in a specific location, adding a touch of dark humor to the celebration—a signature style for Sandfall Interactive.
The anniversary updates are now live, giving players a chance to refresh their characters’ appearances while celebrating one year of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
