Exploring the dark depths of Subnautica 2 requires proper lighting, and the Flashlight is your best tool for navigating the abyss. This underwater torch delivers a powerful beam to illuminate your path, but first, you must unlock its blueprint and gather the necessary materials.

Flashlight Fragment Locations in Subnautica 2

To obtain the Flashlight blueprint, you need to locate and scan two fragments. The order in which you collect them does not matter.

First Fragment Location

The first fragment is found near the initial broken-down facility, close to your lifepod.

Enter the facility through the main entrance and turn left. Proceed to the terminal in the corner, where the fragment is placed next to it. Scan the fragment, then return to your lifepod.

Second Fragment Location

The second fragment is situated to the east of your lifepod, inside a cave approximately 110 meters away.

Use your compass to navigate between 250 and 300 degrees northwest. Look for a set of corals protruding from the water; the cave entrance lies directly beneath them. A gust of air will pull you downward into the cave.

Inside the cave, you’ll find a lab bench containing the second fragment, along with other useful items like the Wavemaker blueprint and a portable locker. Scan the fragment and return to your lifepod to unlock the Flashlight blueprint.

How to Craft the Flashlight in Subnautica 2

Once you have the blueprint, craft the Flashlight using the following resources:

  • Two Titanium: A common ore found in caves near your lifepod.
  • One Quartz: Typically located near coral formations; it has a milky white appearance.
  • One Basic Battery: Crafted using two Copper and one Acidic Raion Pouch.

After gathering the materials, craft the Flashlight at the Fabricator. Equip it from your inventory to begin illuminating the darkest corners of the ocean.
