The Cleveland Browns announced a roster move on Friday afternoon, claiming defensive tackle Elijah Chatman off of waivers.
The New York Giants waived Chatman this week to create space for undrafted rookie additions on their 90-man roster.
Over the last two seasons, Chatman appeared in 22 games and started three times for the Giants. In those contests, he recorded:
- 24 tackles
- 2 tackles for loss
- 1 sack
- 1 fumble recovery
In Cleveland, Chatman will join a competitive group of defensive tackles vying for playing time, including Maliek Collins, Mason Graham, Mike Hall Jr., Kalia Davis, Sam Kamara, Adin Huntington, and Bernard Gooden.
