The Dallas Cowboys have bolstered their defense with a trade for San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dee Winters, according to multiple reports.
In exchange for Winters, the 49ers will receive the Cowboys' 152nd overall pick in the draft. The trade was finalized on Friday night, adding a veteran presence to Dallas' defensive lineup.
Winters, selected by the 49ers in the 2023 sixth round, made an immediate impact in San Francisco. Last season, he started all 17 games, accumulating 101 tackles. His standout play included a 74-yard touchdown on his only interception of the year.
With Winters now in Dallas, he is expected to complement the team's top linebacker, DeMarvion Overshown. Both players will operate under defensive coordinator Christian Parker, strengthening the Cowboys' defensive unit.
