Fox has announced it will acquire two nationally televised NFL games, expanding its existing broadcast package. The move follows a shift from a previously planned YouTube deal, as reported by multiple outlets.

Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch confirmed on Monday that the company will add two standalone games to its Sunday afternoon lineup. One of these games will originate in Germany, marking the first-ever tripleheader of games on a single day on broadcast TV. This historic game will feature the Detroit Lions and will air on Sunday, November 15.

The second game will take place on the Saturday of Week 15 in December, though the specific teams have not yet been announced.

Earlier this year, the NFL invited partners to bid on a five-game package. Initially, YouTube was considered the frontrunner, but the deal ultimately fell through. The remaining two finalists, Netflix and Fox, have now divided the five standalone games between them. Netflix will broadcast three of these games, bringing its total for the season to five, while Fox will air the remaining two.
