The New York Giants have officially signed free agent outside linebacker Khalid Kareem, according to the NFL's transaction report. In a corresponding roster move, the team placed cornerback Thaddeus Dixon on injured reserve.
Kareem joins the Giants after spending the past two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, where he appeared in six games. During the 2025 season, he contributed on 71 defensive snaps and 25 special teams snaps, recording seven tackles and one pass defensed.
The Bengals selected Kareem in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Throughout his career, he has played for the Bengals, Colts, Bears, and Falcons. In 34 career games—including one start—Kareem has accumulated 41 tackles, one sack, two passes defensed, a forced fumble, and an interception.
