The Green Bay Packers have added another quarterback to their roster, agreeing to terms with Virginia Tech’s Kyron Drones as an undrafted free agent. The move comes after Drones took a top-30 predraft visit with the team.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, Drones is the latest addition to a Packers draft class that did not include a quarterback selection. His signing follows the selection of Texas Tech’s Behren Morton by the New England Patriots in the seventh round.

Drones brings experience from his collegiate career, which began at Baylor before transferring to Virginia Tech. Over three seasons with the Hokies, he amassed impressive statistics:

  • 58.3% completion rate
  • 5,566 passing yards
  • 44 passing touchdowns
  • 1,798 rushing yards
  • 20 rushing touchdowns

His total production includes 7,364 yards and 64 touchdowns across his college career.

Drones joins a quarterbacks room that already features Jordan Love, Desmond Ridder, and Kyle McCord.
