Fox Sports has announced that Jameis Winston will join its coverage team as a correspondent for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to take place across North America in June and July.
Winston, selected first overall in the 2015 NFL Draft, brings a wealth of football experience to his new role. His NFL career includes 70 starts with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2015 to 2019, followed by 19 starts since 2020 while playing for the New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants.
This isn’t Winston’s first foray into sports media. He gained attention during his appearances for Fox during Super Bowl LIX. Additionally, he contributed to the Netflix broadcast of MLB’s Opening Night in 2026.
While Winston continues to play in the NFL, his temporary media assignments suggest a potential transition to a full-time broadcasting career. For now, Fox appears positioned to expand his role into a more permanent position in the future.
