Logitech has unveiled an upgrade to its iPad keyboard cases that tackles a persistent challenge as Apple positions the tablet as a laptop alternative. The company’s new Rugged Combo 4c and Rugged Combo 4c Touch cases now include a second USB-C port, allowing users to connect wired accessories such as mice, headphones, and external storage drives—even while the iPad remains powered.
The addition of a second USB-C port addresses a common frustration for iPad users who rely on multiple peripherals. Previously, connecting accessories often required unplugging the primary power or data connection, limiting productivity.
Designed with educational institutions in mind, the Rugged Combo 4c series mirrors the original Combo 4, which debuted several years ago. These cases are primarily sold to schools and educational buyers, though Logitech has not yet announced broader retail availability.
