Meta has acquired Assured Robot Intelligence, a robotics AI startup, as part of its strategic expansion into humanoid machines. The acquisition marks a significant step in Meta’s efforts to integrate advanced artificial intelligence into robotics.
Under the deal, the entire team from Assured Robot Intelligence will join Meta’s Superintelligence Labs, the company’s dedicated research division focused on developing cutting-edge AI technologies. The move underscores Meta’s commitment to advancing AI-driven robotics and humanoid systems.
The acquisition follows Meta’s recent investments in robotics and AI, including the formation of Superintelligence Labs in early 2024. The lab aims to pioneer breakthroughs in artificial general intelligence (AGI) and apply these advancements to real-world robotics applications.
Assured Robot Intelligence, known for its work in autonomous systems and AI-driven robotics, brings specialized expertise to Meta’s research initiatives. The startup’s staff will collaborate with Meta’s existing teams to accelerate innovation in humanoid robotics and AI integration.
