Microsoft’s Xbox chief, Asha Sharma, has spent the past two months reshaping the Xbox organization. Following efforts to address highly requested console features, lower the price of Game Pass, and reunite Microsoft Gaming under the Xbox brand, Sharma is now restructuring the Xbox platform team.
The reorganization includes departures of some veteran employees, internal promotions, and the addition of new technical experts. Jared Palmer, previously with Sharma in Microsoft’s CoreAI division, will join Xbox as VP of Engineering and serve as a technical advisor to Sharma.
In a memo to Xbox employees, Sharma outlined the changes, emphasizing the need for a more technically focused platform team to drive future innovation.
