Netflix has begun testing an AI-powered native voice search feature with a limited group of subscribers, offering a new way to discover movies and TV shows.
To use the feature, users press the Netflix button on their remote control and can either select from suggested phrases—such as "I need a good cry," "watch in the background," or "help me stay awake"—or initiate a custom voice search by tapping the "Ask" button with a waveform icon.
The AI-powered search then generates personalized viewing recommendations based on the user's request, streamlining the discovery process.
