The New Orleans Saints have bolstered their defense by agreeing to terms with linebacker Anfernee Jennings on a contract for the 2026 season, according to multiple reports.
This signing comes just one day after the Saints acquired edge rusher Tyree Wilson in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders. Jennings, a 2020 third-round pick by the New England Patriots, brings significant experience to the Saints' lineup.
Over his six seasons with the Patriots, Jennings played in 79 games, including all four of the team’s postseason contests last year. He started 43 of those games and recorded 233 tackles, 9.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
Wilson and Jennings are expected to join the Saints for their offseason program in the coming days. The future of longtime defensive end Cam Jordan remains uncertain, with speculation that he may not return for his 16th season in New Orleans.
