The New York Giants made their first second-round selection of the 2025 NFL Draft, securing cornerback Colton Hood with the 37th overall pick.
Hood was one of only two players in attendance for the first round who went unpicked. He did not return for the second round, unlike defensive tackle Kayden McDonald, who was selected by the Houston Texans one pick before Hood.
Hood’s collegiate career spanned three programs: Auburn, Colorado, and most recently Tennessee, where he played in 2025. During his lone season with the Volunteers, Hood recorded 50 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and an interception returned for a touchdown.
The Giants also selected linebacker Arvell Reese and offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa in the first round. The team has completed its Friday selections but retains five picks for the final day of the draft.
