The New York Jets officially announced the signing of veteran wide receiver Tim Patrick on Thursday. The move follows Patrick’s visit with the team and agreement to terms on a one-year deal for the 2026 season, finalized on Wednesday.
In a corresponding roster adjustment, the Jets waived kicker Will Ferrin.
Patrick’s NFL Career and Production
Patrick will join a deep and emerging group of receivers that includes Garrett Wilson, first-round draft pick Omar Cooper, and Adonai Mitchell at the top of the depth chart.
During the 2024 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Patrick recorded 15 receptions for 187 yards and three touchdowns across 16 games. Prior to joining the Jaguars, he played for the Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos, where he accumulated 176 catches for 2,403 yards and 15 touchdowns over multiple seasons.
Ferrin’s Brief Tenure with the Jets
Ferrin, an undrafted free agent this year, signed with the Jets in May. He previously played college football at BYU and Boise State, where he served as a kicker.
