The New York Jets have added another quarterback to their roster by trading up in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The team selected former Clemson starter Cade Klubnik with the 110th overall pick, adding him to the depth chart alongside Geno Smith, Brady Cook, and Bailey Zappe.
Klubnik, a three-year starter for Clemson, entered the 2025 season with expectations of being selected earlier in the draft. His 2024 season was notable, with 36 passing touchdowns and seven rushing scores. However, his production declined in his final collegiate season, and he now faces the challenge of revitalizing his career under new offensive coordinator Frank Reich.
The Jets also made a secondary move, acquiring the 199th pick from the Cincinnati Bengals. In exchange, New York sent the 128th and 140th picks to Cincinnati, further reshaping their draft strategy.
