The New York Jets have secured running back Breece Hall’s long-term future by agreeing to a three-year, $45.75 million contract extension. The deal, reported by multiple outlets, ranks as the third-highest average annual value among NFL running backs, trailing only Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey.

Hall is guaranteed $29 million under the terms of the agreement. His previous franchise tag would have paid him $14.293 million for the 2026 season.

With Hall’s contract finalized, all three franchise-tagged players for the 2026 season now have deals in place. The Jets’ wide receiver George Pickens and the Atlanta Falcons’ tight end Kyle Pitts remain under their respective franchise tags, though both have until July 15 to negotiate long-term extensions.

Breece Hall’s 2024 Season and Future Role

Last season, Hall rushed for 1,065 yards and four touchdowns on 243 carries. His receiving usage declined to 36 catches, a drop from his previous two seasons. New offensive coordinator Frank Reich may look to restore Hall’s role as a receiving threat in the upcoming season.
