The New York Jets have bolstered their offensive line by signing veteran offensive lineman Landon Young to their 90-man roster. The move follows a tryout at the team’s rookie minicamp over the weekend. The Jets officially announced the signing on Sunday.
In a corresponding roster move, the team waived wide receiver Mac Delana.
Landon Young’s NFL Career and Experience
Young was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Over the past five seasons, he has accumulated significant experience in New Orleans, appearing in 56 games and making 12 starts. His versatility has been a key asset, as he has played both guard and tackle positions throughout his career.
Last season, Young demonstrated durability and reliability by playing in every game. He also contributed as a starter at both guard positions, reinforcing his value as a dependable offensive lineman.
Mac Delana’s Brief Stint with the Jets
Mac Delana, who was waived by the Jets, had previously spent time on the Seattle Seahawks’ practice squad in 2023. Earlier this year, he signed a future contract with the Jets, though his tenure with the team has now concluded.
