Chiefs Select Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in 2026 Mock Draft
With the 29th overall pick in the 2026 SB Nation Community Mock Draft, Rocky Magana of Arrowhead Pride and the Kansas City Chiefs have selected Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren.
Magana’s Analysis of the Pick
My analysis: McNeil-Warren is up there with some of the most polarizing players in this group of first-round prospects. I’ve seen analysis confused about why he’s generating first-round buzz, while others believe he could be one of the biggest steals in the entire draft. From what I can tell, it depends entirely on which games you watch. But at the end of the day, the majority of scouts view him as a day-one player—and I’m in agreement. Steve Spagnuolo’s defense in Kansas City thrives with a do-it-all safety who fits his aggressive scheme. McNeil-Warren can patrol the deep backfield, serve as a decoy in the box before dropping into coverage unexpectedly, or wreak havoc near the line of scrimmage.
McNeil-Warren’s selection underscores the Chiefs’ commitment to bolstering their secondary with versatile, high-upside talent as they prepare for the 2026 season.
